URBAN YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROJECT PHASE II (UYEP II) KICKED OFF WITH ACDP BASIC LIFE SKILL TRAINING – 1ST INTAKE

“Empowering Youth Employability, One Youth at a Time”

The Urban Youth Employment Project Phase II (UYEP II) kicked off its first intake of youths with a 10-day UYEP II ACDP Basic Life Skill Training. Attended by 55 carefully selected and registered youth from Hanuabada.

The training’s main objective is to improve the capacity of youth in project areas to engage in productive income-generating activities.

The training took place at Southside Multipurpose Fitness Centre with four qualified ACDP Educators delivering Yu Yet’s Training Curriculum Module covering Basic Life Skills, Job Readiness Training and behaviour and mindset change using Physical Activities.

ACDP Educators were thrilled to be part of this life-changing, meaningful training shaping the youths of today and leaders of tomorrow, and were impressed by how committed, dedicated and punctual the youths were in the 10-day journey.

With the positive response and transformation the youth showed from this first intake; we look forward to the second intake of 300 youths next year.

The five-year Urban Youth Employment Project Phase II (UYEP II) is a program by NCDC and ACDP supported by the World Bank.
