The Active City PNG Circus performed at the Centennial Cocktail of the Royal Papua Yacht Club, in a golden and black night where guest gathered to celebrate 100 years of the club.

ACDP performers dressed as sailors welcomed and ushered the guests while they took memorial pictures with the performers upon arrival at the photo booth that simulated a ship. adding color and fun to the occasion.

The ACDP PNG Circus captivated awes and claps from the audience presenting 2 main acts during the night: The Aerial Silk and Rola Bola, both acts of high-level skills. 

Aerial Silk act was performed by Nadya Evi, she has been training with ACDP PNG Circus since 2018, learning floor acrobatics, juggling, poi and clown. After 1 year of aerial training on December 2020 she performed the aerial silk act, for the first time, at the New Year Eve event at Lamana Gold Club. Nadia is the first aerial acrobat of PNG.

The Rola Bola act was performed by Julius Jack and Gilchris Mara, both highly talented acrobats of the team. Julius has been training Rola Bola since 2018 reaching high level skills and dominance of the element. After presenting some balancing skills including juggling in a double Rola Bola, Gilcrhis join him to present together a hand to hand act on Rola Bola.

PNG Circus is one of the component program of ACDP in which youths are trained, developing skills based on ACDP core values. These youths are then nurtured through their developed skills with the possibility of a pathway as performers. 

The component is in line with the global movement of Social Circus, all around the world circus techniques are being used to promote behavior change, resilience, improve confidence and social inclusion.

While ACDP PNG Circus training continues every week, the team is ready to perform in all kind of events, versatile shows, for indoors and outdoors and for all kind of audiences.
